Governor Rell Names Laura Grondin of Haddam as Chair of Connecticut Development Authority
  Governor M. Jodi Rell today announced that she has named Laura Grondin of Haddam to chair the Connecticut Development Authority Board of Directors. Grondin has served since November 2007 as a member of the CDA board and she succeeds L. Scott Frantz as Chair. Frantz was elected in November as State Senator of the 36th District.

Governor Rell Announces 2ND Deficit Mitigation Plan, Calls Special Session for January 2
  Governor M. Jodi Rell today announced her new plan to eliminate Connecticut’s current budget shortfall by cutting spending, redirecting revenue from special accounts to the General Fund, bringing additional efficiencies to state government and collecting additional revenue owed Connecticut by the federal government. The plan requires no new taxes, no employee layoffs and leaves the state’s $1.4 billion budget reserve fund (Rainy Day Fund) intact.

Bradley International Airport Celebrates Return of Transatlantic Service

Gov. Rell Enlists Mayors, First Selectmen & Legislators in Effort to ID ‘Shovel-Ready’ Projects
  Governor M. Jodi Rell today announced that she has written the mayors, first selectmen and other chief executives of every city and town in Connecticut as well as every member of the General Assembly, asking them to help her compile a list of “shovel-ready” projects that could be undertaken if Congress and the President-elect agree on a new federal economic stimulus package.
